Silverstone

The highlight of our summer from a social point of view was taking a corporate suite at the British Grand Prix on 6th July and inviting a number of top customers to enjoy it with our senior management. They brought their partners - both personal and business and enjoyed a great day with excellent food and wine. To make it perfect, our man won the race! For those customers, current and prospective, who couldn't make it, then we will almost certainly have one or more corporate functions next year.

New Features and Facilities

As always the next release of the Intact Software will contain many new features which are available to all customers: -

Executive Dashboard
The Executive Dashboard has been enhanced to display Management information to senior staff upon log in - such as top ten customers, top ten products, top ten suppliers. Soon Intact customers will be able to see huge business benefits by viewing information in one screen - especially in sales, purchasing & customer service environments.

Loyalty Point System
Many Merchants, Wholesalers & Distributors have started to offer a loyalty point scheme for their customers. This means that your customer will be able to spend more with you to save more. Customer Relationship Management & good service are vital - but there is also a need to promote & easily manage loyalty schemes so that our customers can retain long term business contracts and relationships. Again, this feature was requested by one of our
users to be written into Intact so they can maintain and improve market share.
N.B. These two great facilities were requested by our customer base - soon all of you will be able to benefit from the latest and greatest Intact version (upgraded FOC as part of your support contract).

Invoice Margin Analyser
To improve your margin watching Intact has been developed to show and edit margin % or fixed amount at delivery advice note stage. The new invoice margin analyser will enable senior staff to track margin exceptions on invoices. As with all Intact reports the user can define a period before initiating.

Mobile Version of the Web Portal
The Intact Web Portal allows a cost effective way to enable 24/7 access to your trade customers to place orders, check accounts, raise their own quotations and see estimated lead times according to your product information held in Intact.
This flexible mobile solution means a customer or supplier account can be accessed remotely through a mobile phone or PDA. Adaptive rendering means the portal will be able to recognize the type of device and therefore the corresponding form your device will display. Because of this the operator will find this feature both simple, quick and easy to use.

Improvements to the Office Link (Support for SmartTags)
The existing Microsoft Excel office link has been enhanced to allow Management personnel to modify live - time business information within an Intact linked spreadsheet, and import the data directly into your live Intact system. SmartTags give senior members of staff the option to modify figures without using Intact screens, thereby making the operation very straightforward.

Links to Google, Microsoft & other Mapping Software
Intact will be releasing a beta version of Mapping Software integration for address lookups - this will provide the user with an option to print directions to a delivery address on an order and/or search for an engineer based on postcode/skill set.

Intact Electronic Order form module
This new module allows a company to receive orders from customers and reps electronically by having them fill out a standard order form in a spreadsheet. It is then emailed to a monitored email address where the orders are validated and added to the Intact Sales Order book directly with no user intervention.

Paperless office development
Intact have integrated and installed live the Adest document processing system to store accounts related documentation electronically. This wide ranging scanning software is available immediately and augments our counter signature capture facility in a highly professional and comprehensive manner.

Ramtac at the British Chess Championships

When most of us headed for the beaches in August, Neville Belinfante, senior programmer at Ramtac, officiated at the annual British Chess Championships at the European city of culture, Liverpool. He won an award for best contribution to the organising team. Well done, Neville!
